Four names, different implementations, and very different evidence. Use this comparison to locate a real project and a specific build before evaluating a game claim.
Source snapshot checked on October 14, 2026. Releases and the default branch are recorded separately; upstream development may have moved on.
Repository and release comparison
Dates below are UTC. “Latest release” means the release designated latest by GitHub when checked. A newer main-branch commit does not mean its changes are in that release.
| Project | Verified repository | Latest release | Latest default-branch commit | Decision point |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kyty / KytyPS5 | InoriRus/Kyty KytyPS5/KytyPS5 | Original: v0.2.0 2022-08-18 13:49:12 Derivative: 2026-10-13-9e41d83 2026-10-13 21:52:01 | Original: 4733b7e2022-10-03 09:57:05 Derivative: 9e41d832026-10-13 21:33:50 | Choose the intended project and platform; do not combine their release history. |

Compatibility evidence: a release-note checkpoint
We include the narrow outcome the source supports. We have not performed first-hand game tests. “Not reported” means the source does not give that measurement, and must not be interpreted as zero.
| Game | Project / build | Verified statement | FPS / hardware | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dreaming Sarah | AnyPS5 v0.1.2 | A fix is listed for progressing past unwind and debug-raise blockers during boot. Gameplay is not established by that entry. | Not reported | v0.1.2 release-notes.md, PR #279 entry |
Linked developer reports: additional context
These are observations in merged upstream pull requests explicitly linked by SharpEmu’s release notes. They are shown separately from direct release-body evidence and attributed to the developer. They do not provide a full game revision, hardware configuration, measured FPS, or completed-playthrough result.
| Game | Developer-reported result | Limitation | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| ASTRO’s PLAYROOM | Rendering changes address incomplete and black-region output. | Developer reports heavy performance. Complete playability and FPS are unverified. | Release notes; merged PR #1030 |
| Demon Slayer 2 Upstream’s title wording | Developer reports black output after reaching an in-game state. | Rendering defect unresolved in this report. Complete playability and FPS are unverified. | Release notes; merged PR #1069 |
Original Kyty’s release bodies contain no named-game outcomes. The reviewed PCSX5 release describes shell and packaging changes. Their README claims are useful project context, but are excluded from the release-evidence table. A project absent from a game row has an evidence gap, not a proven incompatibility.

PS5 emulator download checksum checker
Choose a downloaded archive and paste the SHA-256 checksum supplied by its publisher for that exact asset. This compares the bytes; it does not scan for malware or test an emulator.
How to interpret the result
Match: the computed SHA-256 equals the expected value. The reference must come from a trustworthy publisher source for the same filename and release. Mismatch: stop and confirm the expected asset, download completeness, and reference hash before opening the file.
If the publisher provides no checksum, this tool cannot independently authenticate the archive. Do not use a hash from the same unverified download page as proof of trust. For files above the limit, use an operating-system SHA-256 utility.
Changing the selected file or expected checksum invalidates the old result. Copying is available only for a current calculation. File contents, filenames, pasted hashes, and results are not sent as analytics events. Read the privacy policy.
Choose the right next step
Kyty & KytyPS5
Separate the original 2022 project from the actively updated PS5 derivative, then choose the correct release and platform.
SharpEmu
Check the official C# project, its x64 releases, and the limits of the developer’s rendering reports.
PCSX5
Inspect the identifiable Windows source project and understand why a matching website name is insufficient proof.
AnyPS5
Understand a relinker and compatibility libraries, a different workflow from a conventional emulator.
For a useful bug report, record the repository owner, release tag or full commit, game revision, operating system, GPU and driver, stage reached, reproducible steps, and relevant logs. Review logs for personal paths before posting to the project’s own issue tracker.
